Terms of Service

Welcome to Docuvey. By downloading, accessing, or using the Docuvey mobile application and its related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility and Account
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. When you sign in via Google or use the app, a device-linked account is created automatically. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and device. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or attempt to circumvent usage limits by creating multiple accounts.
2. Description of the Service
Docuvey translates PDF documents between languages while preserving the original layout, charts, and images. The Service offers:
- PDF Translation — Upload a PDF, pick a target language and translation method, and receive a translated PDF.
- Google Translate — Available on all plans. Fast, standard machine translation.
- AI Translate — Available on premium plans. Higher-quality translation that better preserves context and tone.
- OCR Translation — Available on premium plans. Extracts text from scanned or image-based PDFs before translating.
- Bilingual Mode — Creates a side-by-side PDF with both original and translated text.
- 70+ Languages — Translation available to and from over 70 languages.
3. Plans and Payments
- Free Plan. $0/month. AI Translate included (2/month). 1,000,000 tokens per month. Maximum 5 MB file size. Maximum 160 pages per PDF.
- Pro Plan. $19.99/month. AI Translate, AI + OCR, Google + OCR. 20,000,000 tokens per month. 50 MB file size, unlimited pages, bilingual mode, priority processing.
- Max Plan. $49.99/month. All Pro features. 50,000,000 tokens per month. Faster processing.
Subscriptions are processed through the Google Play Store. They renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the billing period. Refunds are subject to Google Play Store policies. We reserve the right to change pricing and plan features with reasonable notice.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload, translate, or distribute content that is illegal, infringing, harassing, threatening, defamatory, or otherwise harmful.
- Upload documents containing malware, viruses, or malicious code.
- Use the Service to process copyrighted material that you do not own or have permission to use.
- Use the Service for automated, programmatic, or bulk access without written permission.
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent free tier limits or avoid payment.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App.
- Resell or redistribute the Service or its output without a written agreement.
5. Illegal and Infringing Content
You are solely responsible for the legality of the documents you upload and translate. Docuvey does not monitor, review, or pre-screen user content. We do not endorse any content submitted through the Service.
Docuvey accepts no responsibility or liability for:
- Any illegal, infringing, or unauthorized content uploaded by users.
- Copyright violations resulting from translation of documents you do not own or have rights to.
- Any legal consequences arising from your use of the Service to process unlawful material.
- Content that violates the laws of your jurisdiction or the jurisdiction of the target language.
If you believe someone is using Docuvey to process illegal or infringing content, please contact us immediately at abuse@docuvey.app. We will investigate and take appropriate action, including account termination and content removal where warranted.
6. Intellectual Property
Your Documents. You retain all ownership of the PDFs you upload. We claim no ownership over your content. You grant us a limited license to process your documents solely for providing the translation service. This license ends when your document is deleted from our servers.
Translated Output. You own the translated PDFs produced by the Service.
Docuvey. The App, its name, logo, design, and code are our intellectual property and may not be copied or reused without permission.
7. Translation Quality
The Service uses automated translation technology. While we work to provide the best possible output:
- Translations are provided "as is" without warranty of accuracy or fitness for any specific purpose.
- Machine translation can produce errors, especially with technical, legal, or medical content. Always review translations before relying on them.
- Layout preservation is highly reliable but not guaranteed for every document — PDFs with unusual fonts or complex formatting may not translate perfectly.
- We are not liable for any consequences resulting from translation errors or layout issues.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Docuvey is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
- Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if you paid nothing.
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service uses Google Translate for translation, Google Play for subscriptions, and other third-party tools for app functionality. Your use of these services is also governed by their respective terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your continued use poses a legal or security risk. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App. Your continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
